The S.A.T. Plan

Raise Standards

Connecticut has one of the best public education systems, and let's bring Stamford to that level. I believe Stamford should set high expectations in academics, behavior, and achievement, while also providing the support needed to meet those expectations.

That means advocating for effective coursework, bringing back midterms and finals, and ensuring our curriculum prepares students for college, careers, and life beyond the classroom. By raising standards, we can help every student achieve more in Stamford’s schools.

Revive Accountability

Strong schools require strong accountability. Families deserve to know that administrators, teachers, and board members are delivering real results for students. I will push for clear benchmarks to measure student progress, bring student voices to the board, and set performance standards for leadership.

Stamford cannot afford to lower the bar or accept excuses. We must hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards of excellence. As part of this commitment, I will advocate for the next superintendent contract to tie salary and compensation to student outcomes, including achievement, absenteeism, and other key performance metrics. By reviving accountability, we will create a school system where every decision is centered on what’s best for students.

Restore Trust

Stamford families deserve a Board of Education that listens, communicates openly, and puts students first. For too long, decisions have been made without transparency or genuine community input.

I believe parents, teachers, and students must have a real voice in shaping our schools. Restoring trust starts with honesty, accountability, and respect for all perspectives. On the board, I will work to rebuild confidence in our school system so that every family and student knows their concerns are being heard and acted upon.

A Superintendent for Stamford’s Future

To turn Stamford into a district of high-performing schools, we need a superintendent who:

  • Has proven leadership experience

  • Values transparency

  • Accepts accountability and feedback from parents, students, and the BOE

  • Has ties to Stamford (preferably)

Stamford families deserve public schools that teach core subjects effectively in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. These are non-negotiables. A new superintendent must clearly communicate a plan to raise performance and deliver results.

As a leader in our community, the superintendent should be invested in Stamford and ready to hit the ground running. Our students cannot afford more trial-and-error policies like the rushed 4x4 schedule or years of low scores post-COVID.

I believe the community must play an active role in selecting the next superintendent. If elected, I will make sure every voice is heard and respected in this process.
